Has any one tested the Tropicana Orange Juice Lids (suppression pads) for sale in the classifieds?

Well as I mentioned in another thread, it has rained and snowed here for 3.5 months so no need for anti vibration pads, just plop that tripod right down in the MUD :smirk:

But any hoot what type of padding is inside those things, orange would be fine since I have a celestron, but blue is cool for Meade oweners.

I dunno...but my Magic 8-ball says "If you want a decent vibration suppression pad, get the real thing, not something made from a jar lid..." :lol"

I think I'll buy the juice, some vodka and have my brain compensate for the vibrations! :drinkspit:

Hey, I'm all for diy, recycle, reuse, frugal etc vs filling our landfills
with junk, so does anyone know if these dang things work or not?
