Very good drawing, but you must have had access to some really dark skies and a large telescope to accomplish it. I have seen them through a 10-inch at the Okie-Tex star party back in 2006. The outline was apparent, but it was a dark zone surrounded by diffuse nebulosity. They are anything but easy to see here from coastal Alabama. Welcome to Cloudy Nights by the way, and clear skies!

Hello and thank you to all!
I do not use a telescope.
I am a painter on a forum amateur astronomy since 3 years.
I journey through their photos, they lend me to learn my art!.
I just launched a challenge, astro drawing on our astro forum.
And I chewed, the pillars, the best that I can, in the light of their places in the center of this nebula.
In the after photo of my friend Frédéric Lambert.
A frame canvas 80/80 is underway!
