um,..is SN7 still being supported?

Most certainly.  Supported and still actively developed.  Why do you ask?

Just speaking for myself, I tried to install it on my Windows 7 64 PC, and received a message that it wouldn't install on that particular OS. However, it installed on my laptop just fine, even though it has the same OS. When I called Simulation Curriculum this morning, the tech there said the problem was my graphics card, so I updated the driver. I still received the same message.

Any ideas?

PS: I posted this question in a separate thread, so if this against house rules, the admin can delete this post. However, I would appreciate any help I can get on this problem.

Thanks again,

Roy

I do know that the flashing side panel is a known problem and will be fixed in a mid-March release.

Hello all,

I just got into the hobby and was looking at the software available and ran into this thread. What's the latest word on this software? Nobody has posted here for quite while. Thank you.

Thank you very much Rik. I ended up purchasing Starry Nights 7 pro last night, I've only had the chance to go setup 4 times from the front yard for a short period of time so far and I've used Cartes du ciel , but being such a newbie I haven't really been able to align my mount well, mainly from not knowing my buttocks from a hole in the ground, especially when it comes to the alignment stars on my HC. I'm barely touching the surface with SN7 but so far I like the UI and other features as well. It seems easier to me. :)

PS: I did DL Stallarium as well but my laptop has a 4K display and I would have needed to purchase a telescope just to read the UI. :p Otherwise it looks nice.
