Hi all,

This is a great sketch Achim! :waytogo: The accuracy of your record of Langrenus and environs is impressive. The number of smaller craters that are captured in detail is remarkable. Great work on the long shadows at the terminator, you caught them quickly in the half hour it took to complete this one. I really enjoy the way you used the pastels and charcoal on the grey paper background, it has a very pleasing effect on the eye. Excellent sketch!

I like the rendering around the crater itself. I find it hard to render fissured areas.

Achim,

Beautifully done at low sun. This is always tough to do, capturing craters with the Moon at low altitude as it races to the horizon. Langrenus crater looks great.

Frank :)

Hi all,

thanks for the feedback!

Regarding the paper I must admit that the scan is poor quality. The paper itself is nearly black - not grey.

Achim,

An excellent observation of Langrenus. Complex detail within and surround the crater. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

Regards,
Carlos

Fine sketch!

The paper itself is nearly black - not grey.

I always boost the contrast (black/white) after scanning with Corel Paint Shop Pro (Photoshop or GIMP will work too). I tried it on your sketch to give you an idea.

Hi Jef,

yes, I should have played a bit more with all the settings...Thanks for doing that for me.
