The"bloodyEclipse" was interesting in itself, but the nealy triple alignment of the Moon, Mars and Spica was even more wonderful. I thought that the rusty bloody coloring of the eclipsing Moon altered the coloring of lovely Spica giving her an ominous "Bloody" appearance. Of course Mars at opposition is at it's "Bloodiest". A nice configuration.

A beautiful and well rendered observation of the eclipsed Moon, Spica, and Mars. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

Ta! I'm guessing but this has to be uncommon- a Bloody Eclipse and Mars at opposition. Macabre!
