My wife and I stopped at B&N in Webster, TX on Saturday, and at 10 PM there was a fellow in the parking lot with a refractor. She asked "What's that?" And my response was "Outreach."

Evangelation! Had a big group of the curious, too.

People who frequent B&N or other bookstores are a very receptive audience for telescope outreach. I've set up in B&N parking lots many times, always with great success.

I used to set up an 8 and later a 12 inch outside of a Borders Book store.  Did a lot of outreach there until it sadly closed down.
