I finally got around to finishing this image of the popular target Abell 2151. My processing goals were to have good color separation in the details of the galaxies. This cluster has great examples of interactions resulting in tidal debris, tails, and star streams.

It was amazing to find out that I was imaging this at the same time that Jimmy Walker was producing his excellent image of this region. Looks like we even might have picked the same guide star!

Be sure to click the full screen button to zoom and pan around the details.

Thanks for taking the time to look!

Ken that is wicked. The background is silky smooth and the galaxy structure is perfect.

Thanks so much for kind comments and encouragement. I used two types of decon blended MSDLB style to help dig out the details as the seeing was just average. It was good to be processing again :)

Spectacular image, Ken. The colors are so nice.

I can only imagine how epic it could have been if you weren't having to share your guide star with someone halfway across the country.

Oh my that is so beautiful. Best Galaxy cluster I have ever seen.
I love it. I bet it was fun to process galaxies all over the screen
