The trio Ptolemaeus, Alphonsus, and Arzchel is certainly one of the most interesting. I picked Alphonsus because of the pyroclasts which fascinates me. This is a very rough sketch. Sketched on Sketchbook Pro.

Looks great, what kind of input tool are you using to do the sketching? Glen

Glen, Thanks. Glad that you like it. I used Sketchbook Pro software. Sketchbook isn't necessarily the best it's just the one that I'm most comfortable with. Probably ArtRage is the best IMHO.Chuck

Chuck,

An excellent observation of the crater Alphonsus. Sketchbook Pro, ArtRage, Gimp, and Photoshop Elements are all useful. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

Regards,
Carlos

Hi Carlos
Yeah, The GIMP and Photoshop are great, but, what a learning curve! Ouch! I've made faints at The Gimp a few times. The price is right - free. Ii's just overwhelming to my poor brain.

Chuck,

Nice sketch--it shows those pyroclasts very well. Instead of the close-up, I actually like the sketch better when I load the attachment and then shrink it to 75 percent.
