The C90/Astromaster AZ combo

Folks, I'm considering getting this for each of my grandsons as their first scope (8 and 10, different families). What experience have any of you had with this combination? I've read different accounts on forums and Amazon reviews, wanted to hear from this group.

The C90 would be a wonderful first scope for your grandsons. But I've never used a C90 with the AZ AstroMaster AZ mount, so I can't give you my own experience on that.

What I'm proposing is combining two items that I don't believe are sold as a bundle by Celestron. ;)

I'm sorry. The OP sounded like the C90 was being sold with the AZ Astromaster AZ as a combo. Personally, I never think in terms of a Cat or refractor necessarily remaining with the mount with which it was sold, though I know some people think in those terms.

If I recall, the Astromaster mount is the same as the SkyWatcher AZ-4, which I use with my C90 with great success. ;)
