OK guys (and Gals),

You talked me into going to a more substantial mount (see http://www.cloudynig...rd=lxd55&amp... ).

So which of these would you choose? What others should I also look at before deciding.
Thanks

Well, I chose the DSV-1. I can't offer a comparison, but I really love the DSV-1. I'm sure they're both excellent mounts, but I went with the DSV-1 because of cost.

And also I am not sure about what tripod to pair with it.

(Dual saddle DSV-1 pictured with the PST on the right; tripod is a clearance Oberwerk "blem" from bigbinoculars.com; I also have the extension for the DSV-1 for use with longer OTAs)
