Ed's post prompted me to submit a skech I made 3 days earlier - latest Mars observation to date. The planet looked very much like in Ed's drawing, maybe a little more detailed. Makes sense as I was observing with a 10" and seeing was decent. I observed from New Haven, CT.

Clear (and steady) skies,

Ivano

Ivano,

An excellent observation of the Tharsis region of Mars. Cloud activity noted over Chryse/Xanthe and extending over the Tharsis region. A good example what may be accomplished at such a small apparent diameter. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

Regards,

Carlos

Ivano,

The first thing that came to mind when I saw your sketch was DEJA VU.  That is a really good sketch, full of great detail.  Thanks for posting it.

Just lovely, Ivano! Wonderful colours and the bright border really gives it a 3D-apeparance. Well done!!!

Ivano,

This is an impressive capture of Mars as it shrinks away.
