this handy little website uses Google Maps and a sky darkness overlay to help you find the perfect dark sky site near you. I stumbled upon it about a month ago when trying to find a dark site. Enjoy.  :)

That IS a good site.  I found a nice blue road 10 minutes from my driveway a while back.  Much better than going out and blindly driving around in the dark.  :)

If you have Google Earth installed on your computer, download this expanded color scale light pollution map image created by David Lorenz:

Add as an overlay in Google Earth with:

North 74°59'18.29"N
South 7° 0'5.54"N
East 51° 1'32.63"W
West 180° 0'0.00"W

And if you live in Europe, download this, for Google Earth. It's the best I found, and I spent some time searching.
