These are posts in this forum that have attachments you can use for conducting simple astronomy outreach programs. There are also several posts on helping plan events and a few posts that answer some questions you may not have thought about. Some of these posts include links to resources for use with school outreach, teaching in the classroom. Please contact Jason B if you find something that you want to have us give consideration to adding to this list. Thanks! JB

New sites added in a attempt to keep list current.

One way to reach out to new audiences is with the Night Skies Network.

You can set yourself as a broadcaster and then people all around the world can login to see what you see.

Facebook has numerous outreach clubs and organizations which have their schedules and gathering locations posted online. Here are some examples:

Instagram allows you to tag your outreach event allowing people to find information easier. Here's some of the examples of what it can offer:

Twitter is another way to spread the word to the masses. Look at what some outreach groups are doing with it:

Skymaps is still a very useful resource. I hand out their all-sky maps all the time, and know of others who do as well.

I would also add that the videos by the Astronomical Society of the Pacific are very good, along with other fine resources they have available there for outreach.

Abrams Planetarium offers a monthly Sky Calendar, similar to SkyMaps, but more oriented towards beginners. Requires a subscription.
