Quote:45# I think, it is a clone of the AP mount in that class, would handle C11 just fine, and has 6" RA gear and 4 way clutch locks.

Quote:And what do they weigh now?!! =) Guess I could go hit the Celestron website if I really cared that much. So OTA plus mount was what? 75+? I know mounting my 11" CPC on the wedge is a bear. Mounting in alt-az mode is bad enough. Or did they make that removable? I guess there's a good reason there's no fork mounted 14" (excluding of course the monstrous Meade scopes -- but you need a crane for those!). Beo

Quote:Thank you...on the C8 with a maximum back focus of 180mm absolutely. The 11" has a considerably longer back focus distance before loss of aperture so I resurrected an unused 2" Crayford focuser and have been unaware of any loss of light with 20/20 vision....but if I'm still wrong, correct me.

Quote:My newly de-forked C8, previously on a byers drive, but now on my M2 (Thanks Keith for the ADM kit suggestion!). This setup is so much lighter than the Stellarvue 110, and a lot easier to deal with. I can carry the whole thing outside without removing the OTA. Total setup is ~22-25lbs, for 8" of aperture!-James
