Joe, thanks for the comments. The cable I had trouble with was the one from the autostar hand piece to the scope base. I looked at it and found that the connector assembly on one end was not done correctly. I did get some rj45 connectors and re-did the end. It now seems to respond a lot better but will order a replacement since they sound to be of a better quality. I have not had a chance to get the whole thing done as conditions here have not been good lately. One thing I meant to ask about was the WWV signal thingy. My scope has never been able to get it. I mean, I can leave it there while it is looking for this signal but it never finds it. I will re-train the motors and calibrate them at the first chance I get and will report back. I cannot wait to use this scope the way it was intended. I have been considering purchasing a LX90 or LX200 but not until I can get this ETX working right. Also, thanks for the comments on eye pieces. It is good to hear about things that really work on these scopes.
