Each month there will be a new category of target and this month just happens to be to a full phase Moon sketch. Please keep in mind that a mini tutorial should be written to explain how you did the sketch, so that others who have never tried this can learn from your example. So far Erika, Rony and myself have created mini tutorials, and I know there will be many others submitted soon. Here's the sketch I submitted. After seeing it, you might want stop by the new sticky thread and have a look at the process used to create it. It was a real gas putting this one together. At 87X the Moon fit in my field of view with a degree or so around around the orb. I find these sketches a relaxing break from the rendering of tight details as most of my sketchwork has involved recently. What's cool is that you can take your time. You have rendered the ray systems of Tycho, Copernicus, and Kepler very nicely in your sketch. Aristarchus is a glowing beacon toward the northwest corner of the Moon. Sometimes it's nice to sit back and take in the whole thing. I'm hoping you get a chance soon to do a full phase sketch and mini tutorial for the "New Monthly Target - The Moon" sticky thread. It is obviously a sketch, but at the same time is a very realistic and detailed view of how one would see the Moon through the eyepiece.
