Hey folk,

It's been awhile since last I put the Conte' to black paper. This sketch of Wargentin, located in the Lunie Bin, was made at the beginning of the month.

Rich,

Another incredible observation from a bonafide lunie. I feel that I can reach out and touch the scene. Thank you for sharing it with us all.

Great sketch Rich. I don't know why, but this is my favorite Lunar feature of all.

Interesting report and beautiful sketch, Rich.

Keep them coming, Rich. There's nothing better then gazing at such a great sketch after a hard day's work.

While all of your sketches are fantastic I enjoy those near the limb most. It's very difficult to recreate the 'round' edge of the Moon as you've done here.

How I enjoy my strolls around the 'Handy' style lunar surface, so full of detail and stunningly well executed Rich, this is another masterpiece, an incredible capture of this most bizarre lunar feature, and your report gives a fascinating insight into what caused it. I particularly like this region for it's ability to play tricks on the eye with the opposite lighting of concave and almost convex surfaces in close juxtaposition. Excellent work Rich, as always

Thanks so much Sally! This is one I had on the target list for some time. Chuck Wood's writeup really made this one attractive.

Thanks Sal!

The site is now in place and I have Jeremy Perez to thank for getting it up and running. Seems I had inserted the right code in the wrong location. The only thing lacking at this time is the little calendar, but as you guys may have guessed, I must have done the same for this plugin, it is not showing up in the sidebar . When Jeremy can spare some time he's going to look into my calendar problem, so in the mean time just imagine a little calendar embedded in the sidebar. I'll make a new announcement in the ASOD post here in the sketching forum. I want everyone to see the site and leave their comments and suggestions both here and at ASOD. I haven't finished setting up the search function categories, consequently things are still in a formative stage and the site remains somewhat skeletal. As I learn how to place everything on the page it will become a little more populated, so bear with me.

Rich,
It was very pleasing indeed to see this remarkable sketch
on LPOD this morning. This is the best from the best.

Thanks so much Frank! I feel so honored to have been selected. I'm humbled by Chuck's encyclopedic knowledge and his creative intellect, and I read every posting he makes and every article he writes for S&T. Learning about the Moon from such a brilliant scientist is a real thrill. Being selected for LPOD does cause some problems though, my smile muscles get sore!

Congratulations, Rich. I missed seeing your drawing when you first posted it so it's pretty nice to hear about it because it turned up on LPOD.
