AFAIK, nothing, besides a slightly wider fieldd of view.
Well the BV24 also claims to use partially silvered prism surfaces to ensure equal splitting of the light between the two halves of the BV. That would be a big plus because I found the unequal illumination in my BV125 annoying. OTOH silver coatings do degrade with time, but probably not for some years. Burgess also claim (private communication) better baffling and hence improved contrast over their cheaper model.

Well, I may come to regret not paying the premium, but I went ahead and ordered the BV3 for $199.95. I'll continue to read future discussions of the Model 24 with interest, and be prepared to either kick myself in the rear or pat myself on the back depending on how the Model 24 and BV3 compare in the hands of many users.
