I packed a wee bit heavy too for just one day/night. Better than starving though.

NOT GUILTY! I recall posting my intended menu. Never did announce chow time; you and Tom were so wrapped up in the astronomy thing, I didn't want to disturb you guys. Plus there was the remarkable pizza sitting there. That's my story....

I was there two nights, so I figured on five meals plus snacks. Then I couldn't decide whether I wanted instant oatmeal or scrambled eggs or whatever for breakfast, and beef stew or chili or chili dogs or bratworst or just cup'o'noodles for other meals, and trail mix or string cheese or cookies or chips for snacks. So I brought it all, mutiplied many times. And went from an opportunity to cut down the calorie load to having the chili dogs AND the beef stew AND the string cheese AND...BURP.

Maybe we should have a little CN potluck among the desertstars/Watkins shelter sharers?

Right next to a fully functional FOOD tent?

Not to mention the pizza...

Oops. Potluck on Friday (I won't show till Saturday), coffee and muffins otherwise - unless I'm missing something.

Maybe a fruit bowl or cookies or M&M's/trail mix.

Another week of rain like last week and you might catch it fresh campside.

From what I understand the volunteers that actually do the work involved with the hospitality tent are looking at a simpler menu this year. I hear it's going to be chili, salad and cobbler on Saturday. I'm sure there will also be chips and cookies too. And the tent will be operational overnight with coffee, tea and cocoa... and likely more cookies and such. I do believe there will be water available too.
The club is asking for the same $5 donation for dinner on Saturday and raffle tickets will be $1.

I'm already looking forward to it!

Speaking of the club ::insert_shameless_plug::, EVAC is acting as the fiduciary agent for the Robert Burnham Jr memorial to be built at Lowell. We finally got a page put together with donation info. Spread the word...

Maybe I'll only bring water this time, instead of half of a grocery store.
