I'd probably go for whatever eyepiece gives me a view of the whole disk of the sun and maybe a bit more. All any of us will see is a black dot moving slowly across the sun. Doesn't take anything fancy.

Higher Magnifications might be useful for the point when Venus touches the edge of the disk - look for the black drop effect.

The best thing to do is take your scope with all your eyepieces and barlows out in the yard on the next sunny day that you are free. Test your eyepieces and practice aiming and focusing the scope with the filter on and without a finder. If you know beforehand what to do and which accessories you will be using it removes the doubt and enhances the enjoyment. It also gives you some time to correct deficiencies if you're not happy with what you've got.
Make sure to test the filter thoroughly before using an eyepiece.
