I see a couple mentions of the observing programs/clubs mentioned and know there are two programs/clubs now -- Binocular Messier Club ...and... Deep Sky Binocular Club.
I'm wondering if there is enough interest to create bino observing programs/clubs equivalent to most of the other telescope observing programs/clubs? Double Star Club --------------- Double Star Binocular Club Galaxy Groups & Clusters Club -- Galaxy Groups & Clusters Binocular Club Globular Cluster Club ----------- Globular Cluster Binocular Club Herschel 400 Club -------------- Herschell Binocular Club (obviously not all 400) Caldwell Club ------------------ Caldwell Binocular club Open Cluster Club -------------- Open Cluster Binocular Club Planetary Nebula Club ---------- Planetary Nebula Binocular Club Planetary Observers Club ------- (not sure about this one) Urban Observing Club ----------- Urban Observing Binocular Club Earth Orbiting Satellite Observing Club -- Earth Orbiting Observing Binocular Club and... Master Observer Club ------------- Master Binocular Observer Club
What do you think folks...???

You left out Binocular Comet club Galaxy Cluster and Group and Planetary Nebula too faint GC just too booring with binoculars Planetary Club would be hard the others workable but many would require big glass

The Telescopic Urban club should be doable in giant binoculars. Since most of the targets are selected to be seen from city skies, one can assume that most are bright.
I've been working on it piecemeal for some time now.
If you have big glass and dark skies, there is always the Caldwell list.
Clear dark skies...

Most of the AL observing clubs allow binoculars in place of telescopes-IF you are able to do them.
I did the Herschel's with binoculars (10x70s, 20x100s, 25x150s) and Caldwells (25x150 Northern and 7x50s Southern-except for one southern caldwell that I could not find).
The problem with binoculars are the low magification and lack of detail with the smaller, dimmer DSOs.
go for it, edj
