      #1158633 - 09/21/06 12:12 PM

Hi guys.

Just a question for you:
since university is taking up all of my free time, I was wondering if you guys know of some great, elegant, professional (free ) templates around wich I could re-build my website, I will be a happy man!

Anyone?

Thank you.
Emanuele

you can do a Google search for Free Website Templates. LOTS are available.

If you have some knowlege of web-design, there are also website that are "Module Driven" that make things REALLY easy. Myself I prefer "Mambo" (http://www.mamboserver.com/) and it's Free.

Thanks Jeff Very appreciated.

I ended up choosing Joomla, but I now have to find some time to play with it. I don`t have a life anymore since I have been in University.

Yeah, theres a few out there. Mambo, Joomla, Xoom, etc... All have their good points, as well as some bad. Just need to weigh out your needs, as well as the learning curve for the package.

Another nice LAMP-based platform is Drupal. It's fairly easy to set up, and it also has lots of additional modules. You can download a number of templates; adapting any existing template is a piece of cake - just edit the HTML template file(s) and/or CSS stylesheets.

If you're into Python, then Zope/Plone may be something for you.

Personally I find Drupal very nice. If I had to rebuild my website from scratch, I'd probably do it with Drupal.

Cheers,

Olivier
