Baader has come out with a Wide angle Hyperion zoom 1.25 eyepiece.
50-68 degrees
8/12/16/20/24
eye relief?
euro including VAT 179=$228.00
8mm FL has the same large field as the regular Hyperion's, narrow's down to about the same field of view as a Super Plossl at 24mm.
Not yet available in the US and waiting for the review's to come in.

Hmmmm....now that would sure take a load off of having to constantly get more eyepieces for a closer look....now only if they had a version with a *constant* 68 degrees...that would be sweet !!!

For a moment there, I feared that the chrome barrel at the bottom in the photo was a 2" barrel, meaning that the eyepiece had reached new levels of absurd size... whew!

Pete- Yeah, i just heard about this myself. Bob at AlpineAstro (a US Baader dealer) has been putting one thru its paces. He estimates the ER is about 18mm at 8mm FL, and a bit more at 24mm. He also stated that the FOV #'s were as you said, but that at around 20mm it really started opening up! It has click-stops, but can be zoomed uniformly between. "It also has an adjustable twist-up eyecup and the front barrel is removable and threaded so it can be attached to spotting scopes from Celestron and Zeiss. The rubber eyecup is also removable to expose an M54 thread for camera attachment."
Once in stock, he expects they'll retail for $189. Way to go Baader! mike b
