Definitely 'B'... it's more user-friendly. Btw Tom, you did a great job on the opening statement.

Unless I receive a storm of protest, I'll make Prototype B out Buyer's Guide and eliminate Prototype A.
I'll give it a couple of days.

Here's how I'd like to see it go from here:
There is a second post on the locked thread that contains the outline for these summaries. If you want to contribute to the project, use the summary (see the existing examples for how it's done) and post it yourself. This way the general participation of members will be better represented, rather than have my avatar on each and every summary. After posting, send me a pm, and I'll first check it over to make sure everything is okay, then add the link to the locked and "stuck" index thread.

Sounds like a good idea.. less of a load on you, too.

It isn't the work. I just feel funny about my mug shot being on everyone else's effort. I can eliminate my signature line when I post these things, but can't selectively eliminate my avatar.

Time to nudge one aspect of this back to the front. A few posts back I expressed reservations about applying our standard outline to printed atlases and software/online products alike. Since Don (Starman1) was the first to submit a summary for a software product, I touched base with him and received enough feedback to be convinced that we cannot use the same outline for both portions of this project.
So, we need to throw some ideas together and come up with a format that is relevent to items other than printed atlases, software packages in particular.
Until we have a more relevant format, please hold off doing any summaries for the software listed on the Hit List.
