Has the B&L/Bushnell Custom 7x26 been discontinued? It was a nice little porro prism binocular. This morning I looked at a couple of sites and didn't see it listed in the Bushnell line of binoculars.
Thanks, Rich

The binocular is available, and known as the Bushnell Custom Compact 7x26. It is the old B&L "B&L Audubon Custom Compact"(one i have), with a modern rubberized shell. Have read that it is the same as the old B&L one optically, but also, that it is slightly improved due to being "fully multi-coated", as opposed to multi-coated. My old B&L one has been a keeper. Still the best compact i have tried, regardless of price. That is the way it ranks also in most competitive reviews, if it is in the review.

Thanks guys!
I'm glad it is still around.
Does the Eagle Optics webpage look ok to you? For me the buttons are overlapping the picture of the binocular.

For me , the Eagle Optics web page illustration looks O.K .
Nice to see you back here , Patric !
YOU will probably be the last person to be surprised if I said that the main reason this IS one of the best compacts ever made is BECAUSE it is a 7 x 26 -- period !
The 3.7mm exit - pupil gives it an enormous advantage over most other compacts of renown , and the 7x magnification itself makes far more sense in any case with such a small binocular , which are always more difficult to hold steady than larger binoculars .
Also , 26mm objectives provide JUST enough aperture to leave little doubt as to which end to put to your eyes :-)
Regards , Kenny

Dear Patric ,
That news has whetted my appetite for this quiet corner all the more !
I hope you got a computer with a quicker dial up facility than our friend Brock of Polluted Central ( once happy ) Valley .

Rich,
I have the same problems with EO's Website. I have a Mac and an older IE browser (5.1). Could be a compatiblity/upgade issue.
Kenny,
Well, after two days, the Joe Cocker video finally downloaded, after timing out several times. The audio is fine, but the video is choppy and lags way behind the music. I guess you need to have DSL or cable to see it in real time.
Me and my cuzin Warren, well, we don't have no DSL or cable ISPs in this here area. Heck, we're lucky to be able to link to the Internet, some towns don't have no phone lines up yet, they still use carrier pigeons and telegraph service, and they don't have no cable TV neither, just two channels on the old aerial antenna.
However, since we intermarry within the dozen families living in the Centre Region, news gets around pretty quick. Why, my neighbor Clem, who's a Grieb, has a daughter married a Bechtel, and my mother's sister's husband is a Bechtel, well, he just told me that they landed a man on the moon! 'Course, Clem, he's a bit backwards, he thinks it was all done in the TV studio. But havin' launched bottle rockets that never came down, I believe it's true. I'm just a wonderin' if the astronauts brought back any cheese with them, and it were really green?
