Here we go again
On Saturday Weather turned over and we had a wonderful clear night. No haze like the days before, could not be better.
So a college decided to go for this 3 galaxy group, well I thought why not do it myself. I wanted to try out longer exposure series so I ran 28 of them. After all still I got a very noisy background after stretching. So I made some Darks at home and used them to make it a bit smoother. Still needed heavy processing
And here the group: AP 130EDT using Focal Reducer (makes round 800mm) 28 x 8min ISO800 Canon mod. 300D
As you see these are very fizzy boys.
So here the 100% crops of them (in order NGC5907, NGC5905, NGC508)

Well need some hints how to get the background easier smooth (even using 28 Exposure Series) Ore may I am going back to long time exposures, still don’t know. But I am still happy with the image, it is not an easy object.

Amazing images, Ralph. Great detail despite how small they are.

Excellent galaxy image. Especially impressive is NGC5905 (the middle one).

Good job. 5908 reminds me of M104/sombrero galaxy. I didn't know where in the sky these were until I checked out Skymap pro... these are galaxies in Draco, near M102, which is in the neighborhood of M51.
Personally, my house blocks all northern objects, and I am less than 5 miles from a city which is to my north anyway, so I never bother to explore galaxies at high declinations. Kinda sad actually.
