Seen another new visitor yesterday evening, a Grey Catbird, he/she spent quite a while checking things out and getting a drink from the fountain. Cool bird..

Likes insects and berries. Likes to lurk deep in brush on the ground where it forages for bugs. Won't come to your feeder unless it's just curious.
But they love water. Set up a shallow dish of water right at the edge of some brush and they will come especially about an hour before sunset. They love to bathe.

With tripod in hand I took this today. It was hard to hold the tripod and shot the camera. lol When I first set up a cardinal was in the feeder. But the camera would not go off. When it did ,guess who had flown.

Thanks!, yeah, got a bird bath fountain set up next to a huneysuckle shrub, he`s been going to it the past couple evenings, guess i`ll target the fountain plus get a few berries. The chickadees like to perch on the top of the fountain and drink from the stream that pours out, never can seem to get that shot though..

Dave I used the scope with a 25mm lens camera on tripod aimed at lens. I hope that answers your question.

Ornithology pop quiz 101:
Guess; species sex age time of year time of day geographical location habitat
Anyone not getting at least 80 percent will be dropped from this forum and required to use a cheap pair of shrink-wrapped Walmart bins for the next three months.
No exceptions.
