Nice image Koen. I'd like to do that myself but without a modified camera I wouldn't get much. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the kind words! I seem to have been a bit hasty and the colour balance was a bit too much to the blue. I have corrected that now.

Very nice North America widefield. I like the subtle, natural-appearing color of the nebulosity in this one.

Koen - what a wonderful image! I am sorry - I couldn't resist but I ran it through Photoshop to bring out some more stuff and colour.
Going by what Tony just said, he probably won't like it!

Sorry it's a trifle small - it was a HUGE image (too much detail!) and needed *loads* of jpeg compression to get it down to size If it helps, the full size is amazing!

Thanks, everyone! Certainly feels good to see that the colour is pleasing! I try to get a realistic feel (what's the real colour anyway... let's not get that discussion started again).

Peter: I don't mind it It clearly shows the amount of nebulousity in the area! But personally I find the colour too saturated. Also, Deneb's really showing why you shouldn't image this kind of objects when there's high cirrus...

Andrew: You won't regret it, it's a superb lens ! You can find them here around 800-1000 Euros on the used market, usually in mint condition, so problably in the States for 800-1000 Dollars.

Thanks and congratulations on the new arrival ! My buyers remorse died during the testing of the lens, before I paid it. It's a stunner and you'll love it, for astrophotography and daytime use.

Beautiful image... Has anyone tried to count the stars in Koen's capture? I'll mail the winning guesser a slightly used May issue of S & T, or Astronomy magazine, their choice...
