Here are another 4 doubles as captured from Brisbane on 16/17th June with the Mewlon 180, x 2 Barlow and DBK 21 AF04.AS CCD camera. Seeing was estimated to be around 3 to 4/10 resulting in a very low number of frames making up the each final image.
Yes - that's what SkyTools also tells me. I'm relatively new to observing and imaging doubles and SkyTools is my main tool for controlling the mount and performing GoTo's to find these objects.
I’m cutting my teeth on the doubles listed in Hartung’s “Astronomical Objects for the Southern Hemisphere”. It has been a little disappointing to only see these beautiful objects on the notebook display so far, so next time I’ll fit a flip mirror so I can see the doubles visually before I take the images.
