Seeing was estimated to be around 3 to 4/10 resulting in a very low number of frames making up the each final image. I'm relatively new to observing and imaging doubles and SkyTools is my main tool for controlling the mount and performing GoTo's to find these objects. I’m cutting my teeth on the doubles listed in Hartung’s “Astronomical Objects for the Southern Hemisphere”. It has been a little disappointing to only see these beautiful objects on the notebook display so far, so next time I’ll fit a flip mirror so I can see the doubles visually before I take the images.
