I don't hear much mention of these here, just wondering if there's a reason?
I have one, and am in the process of setting up a SPC 900 for guiding, I think it'll work, I'm almost ready to actually try it.

I would be curious to hear how you fared with this setup. I'm thinking of doing something similar.

I had to cut the 900's adapter down to get them (Canon 40D,SPC900) in co-focus. Finding a guide star in the fov (very small) is difficult.
Other than that it works well.
I've had problem since I got my mount back from Celestron, But I don't think it has anything to do with the Guide setup.
I am considering a guide scope mostly to improve the guiding fov.
