Jupiter 8-4-07
      #1759030 - 08/05/07 09:42 AM Attachment (145 downloads)

Here is my first attempt at jupiter in over a year. Got the new notebook going with k3ccd tools and registax. I took 1 overexposed avi of about 400 frames showing the moons. Jupiter is only at 240X magnification, i was having problems focusing with my neximage and barlow. I was happy with it after being away from it for so long and also on my dob. Not sure which moons those are, they were taken at 9:30pm from Massachusetts. =)

Very Nice Image, Ken. Jupiter is showing a nice bit of detail in the image you posted. Also the 2 moons look exceptionally awesome as you can make out their globe like shape, on each size of the Gas Giant. Way to go, Ken.

Very nice! I did the same sort of thing by overexposing to get Europa and Io in the frame and then taking about 300 of Jupiter and letting Autostar stack them. I used the unsharp mask in photoshop to tighten it up a bit.

Very nice all Let me ask...I'm not sure how you integrate over-exposed frames into a stack with normal frames?
