would the Manfrotto 029/Bogen 3047 photo head do?

it's three panning head that has a maximum capacity of 16.6lbs. new it's over $200 and I can get it for $80 from a fellow in town who's clearing out his photo gear but a lil bit he'll keep on using. not sure what model the tripod was, but I just missed a tripod he had that extended to 9ft

I have a Bogen 3031/3047 that I used with a Meade ETX70 for some time with no issues. It should be fine with bins as well.

That 3047 head sells for about 80$ new.

It's sold on the 3021 tripod combined for a total of $236.

Keep in mind it is NOT a fluid pan head.

ohkay...all the hits I got on it under the Manfrotto name were in the EU and all were around 200 pounds or euro. none of the links under the Bogen name provided a price.

just wondered if it was a good idea/deal
