First "good" pic of the moon with my new camera/teleconverter. Camera is a Panasonic Lumix FZ 50 and the teleconverter is an Olympus TCON17. Vital stats. Taken at 714mm (420 native x 1.70) F/ 3.7 1/320 sec. ISO 100 Auto WB NO PP, haven't got into that yet. Image was takes on a tripod with remote cable release. The camera is an EVF/live view LCD set-up. I prefer to focus manually, yes it has a good ole fashioned ring, so some work needs to be done in learning to focus manually using an LCD. The image size regulations on this site make it sometimes difficult to appreciate an image. Under investigation at full screen resoluton reveals some softness. Better than mine. You could also try lowering the EV setting to between -.3 and -1.
