I've been owned (or leased) by a lot of cats, but I've never had a pair that have the affinity Ferd and Norman have:

Certainly not!

Really!

Why, sometimes the threesome of Ferd, Norman, and Savannah has to wait several minutes for their evening treats.

Rusty, you need to hide the money jar better when you're out of town. Looks to me that Ferd and Norm are probably on a first name basis with the Dominos delivery guy!

These two are unlike any other cats I've been subjugated to, and I've been the Subjects of plenty. Ferd and Norm are just inseparable, except during the day. Ferd stakes out positions in the yard (rain or shine, cold or hot), while Norm stays inside except for an occasional Yard Foray. But when nightfall arrives, this is what I get...

Ferd is very small for a Maine Coon male at 18 lbs. (most go around 25, and The Dude, Ferd's predecessor, tipped at 27 lbs.). Norman looks a bit, er, "undertall" for his weight, but several of the vets at the office to which I take both (together, of course) have marveled that both weigh 18 lbs, so Norm is big for a domestic shorthair, but he's well-muscled - all the vets thought at first he was corpulent, but all concluded he's just burly.
