I am just getting around to try and use DSLR Focus to run a Canon Rebel XT with DSUB for long exposure control (Windows XP). The camera connects but I have a problem with the Image Capture/Long Exposure mode - between exposures there is a delay equal to the exposure setting before the camera will download the image (to either the CF card or to the computer). For example if I set for 3 X 1 minute exposures, the first exposure goes for 1 minute, shutter then closes and the camera LCD blinks for another minute before downloading the image (in 2-3 seconds) and then proceeds to the next exposure. Am I missing something here or is there a serious glitch? Thanks for any help!

Hi, This is normal for a download since you most likely have the noise subtraction/reduction mode on. This happened to me at first until I figured it out. The automatic noise reduction works pretty well. But, you will have the wait time between exposures. For example, If I take a 45 sec. exposure, I usually set the time between images in DSLR Focus to approx. 50 seconds. Hope this helps.... Doug Neal

Turn OFF the noise reduction mode. You can get your darks while you are packing up for the night.

Thanks Doug and Dwight - indeed noise reduction was on and responsible for the delay. Seems to be working fine now... Clear skies!
