Vixen 80 BT 36X80
      #1886536 - 10/04/07 06:54 PM

I ordered the Vixen 80 BT 36X80 today .
Cant wait to get them.I got them to replace my Apogee RA88,s .The Vixens are 5 pound lighter & i will be able to use my 1.25 astro E P,s in them .
Another small plus .They are white & will take the hot sun better .Trouble with black scopes is they tend to get very hot in the sun & ive used up most of my white tee shirts covering them .
I will keep the 88,s till the Vixen arrives so as to compare them tho.
Say hello to Kathy for me Kenny.& congrads on the new twins.
Brian.

took apart one a few years ago and it looked like it had a focal reducer or barlow lens between the optical tubes and the 45 degree prism not sure which ones, probably to give its focal lenth or to reach its focus. regards john
