Whaaa? This giant mount currently sitting on my living room floor is no cg5. I got the CGE! It's huge, and now i'm afraid i'm going to have to buy a dome nest....

did you ever make a decision? i'm pretty sure the 9.25 would cover what you are wanting to do. and it arguably has the best optics of any SCT out there.

Yes, I went with the C11, and upgraded to a CGE mount. I'm in the process of gathering additional equipment to do visual observing, and planatary imaging. I'm also currently reseaching for a basic ed80 APO to piggyback.
Beleive it or not, i've had it over 2 weeks and still have not had first light yet!

I would shy away from a 9.25 if wide field is ever in your horizon using the SCT. A Hyperstar or Fastar isn't offered for the 9.25.
