Hiya folks.
I've been away for a while starting a new company. And now it's time to bring the RCX 400 out of it's tomb.
Just wondering if Leege and Jerry are still around.
I actually had the RCX out this last weekend. Runs as good as the day I opened the box.
My camera on the other hand........ (I'm working on it.) Maybe it got dropped during a house move or something.
Cheers ! ! !

Yep, we're here! Welcome back. Have a look at our sigs. A lot has changed while you have been gone. So, how have you been?
Glad to hear your RCX is still a good one.

Yep, Luke and I decided we would show the spouses what poverty was really like. That got their attention.
Glad to see you back and I envy your scope. If you remember, I've said over and over the 10" RCX I had was one of the best, if not the best, views I've ever had of Saturn. Wish I had it back but there would be a new edition of "48 hours" with my wife starring if I bought it back.

Wow ! ! ! LX 200 ? ? ?
I guess I need to go back and read through the forum now.
Been good L. Just busy with the Survey and Engineering business.
Things have settled a bit and I'm looking forward to doing some real observing and imaging.
Talk to you soon Bro.

Welcome (back). I see you haven't posted since the LEEGE RCX problem days (before my time).
A working RCX and good things to say about it, eh? Well, I guess that makes but two of us 'round these parts....

We have a number of folks with working RCX's here. Steph is one. Wrather1 is another. Of course, Jason. And a chap from Washington state who hasn't been around recently but who had dazzling photographic results with his.

Now now, I wasn't THAT serious
We could use a little less RCX-negativity around here, that was my point.

Hi Joseph ! ! !
One of the first things I did when I got my RCX was to take it apart and install the "Make Mars the Size of The Moon" module.
Seriously, I really did read up extensively about the RCX before the purchase and performed the preventative maintenance before anything malfunctioned. Checked all connections, add gears, clutch, and ROM updates.
My wife thought I was nuts for tearing down the scope before even setting it up. (She always worries when I break out the tools for fear of not seeing me for a few days.)
It has been a great scope.

Mine's still working. Even upgraded the Autostar with no problems. Just need some clear skies now...

Yeah, hasn't it been annoying how beautiful and clear it's been during the day every day this week and then the clouds move in at sunset?
My RCX is still working fine too, by the way, but I haven't been brave enough to try upgrading the Autostar.

An Autostar update is really pain free. Never had a problem with several different updates. The great is, it doesn't lose your PEC training data either (although it claims it might).
I'm using a very interesting independent Autostar update now, that gives me fine tuning on the custom tracking rate. It means I've been able to squeeze the last bit of performance out of the mount for imaging.

My bad, I'm afraid. I've got a TMB130SS on the way...the old Telescope Curse strikes again!

But Jerry, he already has a 66mm and an 80mm...he's already gotten sucked in. There's no hope for him.
And yeah, Dave, thanks bunches for bringing in the cloud curse, buddy.
But congrats on the new TMB130SS!
