120307 - WOW, lots to see!!!!!! 2nd sketch added.. new
      #2025003 - 12/03/07 10:04 AM

OMG what a morning for a view...As soon as I found the sun on the EP the long prom on the ENE limb stood, literally!...It looked like a bright spike bending to the east...As I stared and zoomed in I could a lot more structure, much of it faint but there...

I then move around the North limb and found another bright spikey prom with a wide base, semi detached in my view...

Working my way around the west limb there was another set, I could see more happening in between the 2 brighter segments, but couldn't quite make it out to even speckle it out...

The SE limb had another prom similar to the one on the ENE limb but smaller...The left part of the pair took some tweaking before I could get it into focus, but it's there and also looks like it's expelling...Most of these will be worth a second look later...

Next was the disk, I zoomed out to see what stood out and both active regions were like beacons...Other than the ARs, I couldn't find much worth noting...

All in all, great morning!

2nd viewing...Not sure why SW doesn't label 976 still, it's easily visible and fairly well defined as an active region, in my limited experience...After looking at the GOES data I may have viewed while it flared, I can't tell the time on the 5m flux graph...

Man, not only does it happen while I'm at work, we have to keep the shades drawn all the time so I can't even sneak a quick peak from the office.

Thanks for sharing the views.
