Heres my first pix with my 20D that came out. Point and shoot. On a tripod, 20 secs, 1600A, 55mm, wide open iris, no processing of any kind, JPG format files.

That goes to show you how wide angle AP is so forgiving on long exposures! That's great for 20 seconds!!

I hadn't shot any pix in a LONG time as it was a HASSLE to do film photography. Hopefully the 20D will change that

Nice one Philip, you're better than me at this. I've only just got the software for this camera, at least it doesn't need a shutter release switch now, all the settings are done via 'EOS Utility' and a 3m USB cable, £2 at Maplins (Radio Shack). Got the RAW viewer working too, it seems to work better under Ubuntu?

It turned out well. My first astroimages were also with a fixed tripod and a DSLR.
