Old books on the Sun new
      #2040038 - 12/09/07 07:50 PM

Hello All

With all this talk of new solar books I decided to look on the net to see if there were any books online and came across this old book

The Birth And Death Of The Sun (1945) by George Gamow

http://www.archive.org/details/birthanddeathoft032626mbp

This is available free to download and whilst being old to me it looks interesting.

It also prompts the question does anybody else know of any Solar / Sun Ebooks that are available within the constraints and respecting copyright issues

Regards all

Martin Farmer

The Basics of Solar Wind
2007
Nicole Meyer-Vernet
has great explanations of solar dynamics, but does requires some math/physics background. The first two chapters are free and available at http://www.lesia.obspm.fr/~meyer/BSW.html
