Mars 14 December 3rd try with 6"
      #2051685 - 12/14/07 08:57 PM Attachment (61 downloads)

Hello to all,

Tonight I had another go with my 6" Mak and
tried some of the suggestions I received here
in this forum.
The colors are still poor but maybe I need
a better camera.
Image taken with TVx3 SW Mak 6" and webcam,
roughly 1500 frames through registax.
Any comments highly apreciated!

Thanks for looking!

Hi Mert,

I'm not sure what is happening with the color channels, but you've got some nice detail and contrast going. Good job.

Regards,

Bob

What "web cam" are you using? If it is a Philips you may want to use the wcCrtl to help control the settings for the web cam.

Hi Mert, as Bob said you are capturing some great detail.

As for the color, does your camera have Gama and or
a Auto Balance feature? You might have to do some
experimenting with these in order to find the settings
you need for your specific camera. I'm sure you'll get it
figured out soon.

Thank you all very much for the comments, I see
the colors are way off!
Still don't know how to get that aspect right
so that will be experimenting.
FWIW here included a picture of the webcam;
Hercules Classic, I stripped off the led's from the
PCB and the rest also.
What was left is used together with an ALU nosepiece
so it can be used like an eyepiece.

With regards,

Mert, Looks like you are off to a good start! Experiment with various capture settings on your camera to get the best looking preview image. The captured color will usually be fairly close.
