New Observation Blog new
      #2028267 - 12/04/07 06:15 PM

Just thought I'd get the word out. I started a new astronomy blog over at http://ne-ohio-astro.blogspot.com and will be updating it frequently with new information and observations, as made through modest backyard telescopes. It'll be nice to show people what one really can see in backyard telescopes, even thought they are not hubble images.

I personally won't be doing any imaging. My current 4.5" reflector doesn't have enough aperture I would think, and I'm looking at a 10" dob, so no astrophotography (yet ) But I will be doing sketches. So far its just been fun making the website. Can't wait til the weather clears and do some actual observation reporting.

Lemme know what you guys think about the site.

Thanks,
Sean

Thanks! Although I am trying to get a faint nebula theme behind the header, and its proving tough to get it to work right on all the browsers.

I actually ended up using an image for the entire header. I found it is the easiest way to ensure that it works the same on every web browser. Blogger.com's default header works as is, but is not very flexible for modification.

I think it came out pretty good!

Thanks! Now my mission is to get the "Time on Mars" widget from This page onto the right hand column. The two Mars rovers are Flash, kind of a tough one to figure out.

I E-mailed NASA, hoping they can help. Their pictures and such are free for public use.

Thanks! I'm actually using Conneaut's CSC because Ashtabula doesn't have one. Sometime when we get some clear skies, we'll have to meet up for some observation. I'm taking vacation all next week
