hey all,
yesterday after seeing Mike's work on Leo trio, I was really inspired to give a try myself for the first time.
you can check his picture here:
http://www.cloudynights.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/2058691/page/0/view/collapsed/sb/5/o/all/fpart/1/vc/1
check his bigger version, it is really crazy work. Look how many fuzzies he has got there?!
He had used his new TV-85, modded Rebel and 66min worth of data.
So yesterday I put my setup outside, and my plan was to do 1hour by 1min subs and see the result with William Optics ZS 80ED, and unmodded Canon Xti.
Unfortunately again because of clouds I couldn't go further than only 17min, will do the rest today if the weather permits.
But here is the 15min result with 13dark frames subtracted:
wide negative:
Sirius EQ, WO 0.8x reducer, ISO1600 @ f/5.44.
of course this is nothing compared to Mike's work, but I was really impressed to see my first work on a galaxy other than M31 and M33.
Well, I'll see what will I get after 1 hour of data.

Nice shot. It's interesting to see how much these small 80mm scopes can pick up. Perhaps I can try this target with my 80mm next spring, weather permitting.
