In anticipation of my eldest daughter going away to college, I got her the B&W Zeppelin speakers, sight unseen and unheard, figuring they're B&W so they've got to be pretty good.
She unboxed them this morning, and we're listening to some Apple Lossless compressed music from the Burmester demo CD III on the speakers and they're frankly astonishing. Actual imaging, air, clean midrange, even decent non-boomy bass. From another room, on chamber music, they sound very much like my main system.
Pricey, but highly recommended!
Cheers,
Suk

I had no idea the Nautilus line included multi media speakers. As much as I revere the B&W Nautilus speaker line knowing that it includes multimedia somewhat taints my feelings.I guess with the ipod frenzied craze that's been growing and growing this was bound to happen sooner than later. I've been a big fan a B&W loudspeakers for years.I've owned a few pairs including most recently a surround system with CDM1NT's.

I know what you mean but think of it as a blessing in disguise - the home theater craze and need to drop pricepoints due to the number of speakers in a system has really rejuvenated the industry.
Did you know even Krell makes an iPod deck now?

By the way, my mind was overdosed on roast beef. They're named Zeppelin (for the shape) rather than Nautilus. I went back and edited my post.

Never thought I'd see 'Audiophile' and 'iPod' so close together in a sentence.

Or even in the SAME sentence!

I bet they will even sound better when they have a few more hours on them... You made a great purchase... I loved my B&W's from the 80's...
Note: In the next week I will finally get high speed Internet. All my images will then disappear. If anyone wants to save any, please do...

No, this is not a Zep but it don't sound too bad. It's an "I-Craig". I got it at Goodwill this morning for $600 (Oops!... I mean $6.00). It sounds pretty good and the little speakers have a ported bass chamber which fires out the back of the unit. It also has the Am/Fm radio and a really neat alarm clock plus you can attach other Mp3 players to it via the supplied cable. I put my Creative Zen to it and it worked fine.
