Anyway, I'm pretty sure the VMC would be more suited for imaging planets and globs and such. The VC is more of a general purpose modified SCT. Open tube with no corrector and the primary mirror is locked down so it uses a refractor style focuser. But they are slightly different designs with different strenths. This model is especially designed for astro-photography. It is also about $300 more expensive than the VMC200L.
