Hello everyone, I just wanted to know what kind of film I should use and where can I send it to get processed. Also, if I use slide film, can't I just get a CD instead of slides so I can put the pictures on my computer? Thanks.

Yes, you can get a lab to scan the slides for you. I've got a real good local lab (the last one left) that takes a while longer, but they are very professional. I remember asking them to scan every slide at the highest resolution in a tif file, not to cut the film or mount the slides, and they called me explaining that almost every shot had a light leak. I was thankfull for not paying for worthless scans. I'm sure there are good places to send off a roll. Slide film is hard for a lab to screw up. As for the film, Kodak E200 really opened up things for me, an absolute noob, and Fuji Provia 400X is in my camera now.

Yes, you can have your slides scanned digitally to CD but remember to keep your original slides as AstroBobo said and it wouldn't hurt to make an extra backup of your CD. Also, remember to always put "guide" shots on your roll whether using film or slides. Ron
