Hello and Happy New Year!
I'm wondering what's the best way to go for a focuser upgrade on my older Ultima 8 (1989)? At first the simple and economical way is the GSO 2-speed but I saw on the Starizona site the Feathertouch Micro that replaces the standard focuser. However I'm not sure it'll work after reading the install instructions about the baffle stop. Since this will be used on a GEM I don't have to worry about clearance.

Hi Kenny,
Maybe a phone call to Strarizona would clear things up. Their service folks are very knowledgeable and willing to help, at least that's been my experience.
Just a thought, hope this helps.
