Not a cloud in the sky as I set up on the grass covered in frozen dew...Nothing but the chirp of a few distant birds, one or two blind roosters and the hum of a Deere off in a distant field moving hay bales...This may sound like normal noises to some of you, but I was born and raised in Baltimore City, I woke up to sirens, gunshots and car alarms, these type mornings after a year and half still have the same therapeutic effect they did when we moved here...
From my family to you and yours, we hope you have, or had already, a safe and Happy New Years!

Happy New Year to you too! I also woke up to a perfect blue sky morning which is bizarre because I checked the hour by hour forecast before I went to sleep at 4:45am. Each hour was listed as either mostly cloudy or cloudy. Hope the weather guys get it right in the coming year!

Excellent report, looks like something on the limb may be in view tomorrow or the next day as you have sketched.

I don't think I've seen a prom and AR on the limb so bright...It was like a rock had been dropped in a puddle of plasma and it was shooting upwards...By the time I was done, it seemed to be half the height...But the brightness I saw was new to me...VERY KEWL!...I hope someone gets some images!...

It's always the good stuff that I miss while at work. Hopefully tomorrow the skies will clear but the weather is calling for rain/snow showers. I just can't catch a break.
