Hi,
That is the Sega Homestar. My wife got me one for Christmas (at my request after a month or two of bing closed in under the marine layer here) and for the size, it is the best home planetarium by far. With just residual light from a different room filtering in the sky looks very real, including the Milky Way. Only exceptions ar eif the room is completely dark looks a bit too bright, and there is distortion projecting from flat surface to flat surface so Scorpius and Sagittarius are a bit distorted like a planisphere. Star positions are completely accurate given the projection and incldues Coma Bernices, the Beehive, etc.
Beyond that, it doesn't really serve any useful purpose a Planetarium program on the PC wouldn't do far better but it is fun!
